Dr. Regina Ekong holds a degree in Psychiatric Nursing Practice from Brandman University. She is the CEO of Beulahspring Behavioral Health Services LLC in Upper Marlboro. She has over 20 years of experience in Nursing. She has worked in various care services areas, including – Cardiac, step-down ICU, surgical, palliative, and hospice care, and in-patient and out-patient mental health care.
Dr. Ekong is a Board-Certified Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, licensed in Maryland and Washington D.C. Her previous nursing experience includes work in pediatrics and mental health settings, oncology, palliative and hospice care, medical surgery, case management, community health, in-patient hospital, and out-patient clinics.
She is qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and treat various mental health conditions across the entire lifespan. She has experience treating Schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, OCD, impulse control disorders, bipolar and mood disorders, ADHD, Trauma and PTSD, psychosis, substance abuse disorders, personality disorders, behavioral issues, sleep disorders, and other psychiatric disorders. With her dedicated training in mental health, Dr. Ekong is uniquely qualified to provide mental health evaluations and diagnoses, recommend pharmacotherapy treatment solutions and manage mental health crises.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Nurse Practitioners, American Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and NOVA.
